2009 brings the sixth annual Oldham County Grand Slam back to offer fun and fitness for the whole family. The Grand Slam is a series of four - 5K/1 mile events that are set up for the most competitive runners, as well as someone who is literally just getting off the couch. Anyone, at any age, can "do the slam". |
The four events that make up the Grand Slam are the 5K Crestwood Baptist Church Family Fun Run/Walk, followed by the Oldham County Day Festival 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Oldham County YMCA, the Fastline Publications 5K Run/Walk, and finally, the Apple Patch Scenic Road 5K Run/Walk The idea behind the Grand Slam is to get Oldham Countians excited about these fun family events and to encourage fitness among the residents here.. |

Hundreds of Oldham Countians and many from the surrounding area have participated in the Grand Slam events each year. You should too!
